Together with our colleagues from ShanghaiTech University, China and Automatic Control Laboratory, EPFL, Switzerland, we published a new research paper in the international scientific journal IEEE Control Systems Letters:
The paper presents a distributed MPC design method for systems with input and state constraints. The illustrative case study demonstrates the significant reduction of the runtimes necessary to solve the optimization problem compared to the conventional MPC design approach.
On June 24, IAM took a part in the CHEMSHOW - Open Door Day at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU in Bratislava.
On June, 23 we organized a seminar "Department of Information Engineering and Process Control - milestones and challenges". The event was organised on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of IAM.
The STU InQb, the organiser of Startup Pitch, awarded the project "AI - Automatic Irrigation". IAM alumni Trieu Hai Nguyen was a member of the awarded team. Congratulations!
We are coauthors of a new paper in the prestigious international scientific journal Journal of Process Control:
The paper presents a data-driven differentiable parametric optimization approach to the optimal control problem. The publisher Elsevier provides open access to new research articles for 50 days to help share the current results.
The 13th IFAC Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Process Systems, including Biosystems (DYCOPS) was held in Busan, the Republic of Korea on June 14-17, 2022. The conference was held as a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual participation. Dr. Radoslav Paulen participated in the conference as a representative of IAM with the contribution:
The presented contribution is a result of a cooperation of our institute with Technische Universität Dortmund.
Rector of STU Dr.h.c., prof.h.c., prof. Dr. Ing. Oliver Moravčík awarded the associate professor Ing. Monika Bakošová, CSc. for outstanding results in educational activities. Congratulations!
The graduation ceremony of master students at FCHPT, STU in Bratislava was on Friday, June 17. IAM students Rastislav Fáber (Magna Cum Laude), Lívia Homolová, Denisa Chowaniecová, Michal Krištof, Trieu Hai Nguyen, Erika Pavlovičová (Magna Cum Laude), Jakub Puk, Marek Wadinger, and Alexandra Žabková were graduated. Congratulations!
