Course unit title:
Robust Control
Mode of delivery, planned learning activities and teaching methods:
lecture – 1 hour weekly (on-site method)
seminar – 2 hours weekly (on-site method)
Credits allocated:
3
Recommended semester:
Automation and Information Engineering in Chemistry and Food Industry – master (full-time, attendance method), 4. semester
Level of study:
2.
Prerequisites for registration:
none
Assesment methods:
Students individually elaborate 3 projects within the semester. They submit them electronically. They have to present the results and defend them. The students are rated in accordance with the study rules of the STU.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The students are familiar with the basic types of uncertainties. They are able to analyze the robust stability of the systems with structured uncertainty. They are able to design controllers for the systems with interval parametric uncertainties. The students are able to use linear matrix inequalities for robust stability analysis and robust controller design. The students are familiar with unstructured uncertainty. They are able to analyze the robust stability of the systems with unstructured uncertainty and they are able to design robust controllers for the systems with unstructured uncertainty.
Course contents:
