Course unit title:
Advanced Predictive Control
Mode of delivery, planned learning activities and teaching methods:
lecture – 2 hours weekly (on-site method)
seminar – 3 hours weekly (on-site method)
Credits allocated:
6
Recommended semester:
Riadenie procesov – (full-time, attendance method), 1. semester
Riadenie procesov – (full-time, attendance method), 2. semester
Level of study:
3.
Prerequisites for registration:
none
Assesment methods:
Regular attendance of laboratory practice.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will be able to formulate predictive control problems with different types of cost functions (control to origin, off-set free reference tracking, minimum time) and various types of predictive models (linear, non-linear, hybrid). Students will be able to solve the formulated tasks numerically and to implement numerical solutions on commonly used types of hardware devices.
Course contents:
Predictive control based on linear models a control into origin, reference tracking, off-set free control, non-linear predictive control, hybrid predictive control, parametric optimization, hardware implementation of predictive control.
