Project aims

The main aim of the project is to improve quality of employment and competitivness od Bratislava region via development of education and support of PhD students and young researchers. The project is focused on industrial automation, current and prospective industrial parks and institutions not only in the target region but in the whole Slovakia as well.

Education is targeted to motivation of PhD students in modern automation in automotive, process, biotechnological, and energetical industries. The main aspect is to make possible to study at the most advanced institutions in Europe icluding not only universities but industries as well.

Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava is the mayor player in PhD studies related to automation and information technologies. It implements PhD programs in machinery, elektrotechnics, communications, energetics, chemistry, chemical and biochemical engineering. The support of further studies of PhD students in this field is one of the key issues in direction towards knowledge and information economics in Slovakia.

Concrete activities within the project

Improvement of education and support of specifically oriented PhD students and young researchers in the area od automation, telematics and related industries in Slovakia. This will be accomplished by study stays at the most advanced industrial companies and universities in Europe and thus a new knowledge will be gained that cannot be obtained in Slovakia. On the other hand, this will improve competitivness and quality of employment of industries in Bratislava region.

Transfer of on-line knowledge via Internet to other regions in Slovakia, educational portal in automation and information technologies.

The information acquired at foreign universities will be transformed and used in preparation and realisation of engineering study programs: Autotronics, Mechatronics, Transport techniques, Robotics, Automation and information engineering in chemical and food industries. These programs are developed with aim of theoretical and practical training of specialists in new areas of automotive and process industries with influence of information technologies.

Preparation and education of your researchers in specific themes of research and development in automation and telematics in Bratislava region and in Slovakia that will be able to participate in multinational networks and international communities.

Support of transfer of new technologies in information engineering, automation, and telematics from Europe to concrete departments of the university and thus better conditions for targeted theoretical and practical education for research and development.
