Dynamic real-time optimization of a polymerization reactor

Abstract

The research discusses about the implementation of dynamic real-time optimization to a graft polymerization batch reactor to recycle the rubber part of used tires which retains excellent elasticity. The modeling of such a process is described and used for an online optimization. The state estimation is made with a moving horizon estimator. We illustrate the performance of the proposed method to decrease the processing time.
