On Wednesday, 3 June 2026, the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, appointed 30 new university professors. Among them were also our colleagues:
- Juraj Oravec – in the field of Automation
- Zdenko Takáč – in the field of Technical mathematics

Institute of Information Engineering, Automation and Mathematics was established in 1.1.2006 from two departments: Department of Information Engineering and Process Control and Department of Mathematics.
