N423L3_4B
Course unit title:
Laboratory of Chemical and Energetic Engineering
Mode of completion and Number of ECTS credits:
Class req (1 credit)
Course supervisor:
doc. Ing. Pavol Steltenpohl, PhD.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The course Laboratory exercises of chemical and energetical engineering is connected with information obtained on lectures and seminars. Laboratory work teach students measure experimental data by liquid and gas flowing, flow rate measurements, presure drop and centrifugal pump output, heat transfer and thermal insulation properties. Evaluate data and prepare reports from each laboratory work.
Prerequisites for registration:
none
Course contents:
Measuring of heat flux and thermal conductivity of isolation
Measuring of convection heat transfer coefficient, calculation of overal heat transfer coefficient inside heat exchanger
Measuring of velocity profiles of flowing air
Calibration of flowmeeters for measuring of liquid floe rate
Measuring of pressure drop of flowing liquid inside the pipe
Measuring of centrifugal pump and pipe characteristics
