We are coauthors of a new paper in the prestigious international scientific journal Computers & Chemical Engineering:

Martin Mojto - Karol Ľubušký - Miroslav Fikar - Radoslav Paulen: Data-Based Design of Multi-Model Inferential Sensors

The paper presents the design of inferential sensors, incorporating multiple linear models. The state-of-the-art methodology is enhanced to ensure continuous model switching and optimize the labeling of training data. This contribution is a result of our industrial cooperation with the refinery Slovnaft, a.s. in Bratislava, Slovakia. The publisher Elsevier provides open access to new research articles for 50 days to help share the current results.

Specialist-oriented magazine „ATP Journal“ published an article introducing a novel design of our smart greenhouse VESNA and its role in education. The article was published (in Slovak) in both, online and printed versions (pp.30-31).

The full paper contributions presented at the 24th International Conference on Process Control are already available at the IEEE Xplore.

On Friday, August 18, 2023, PhD students Michaela Horváthová and Martin Mojto defended their dissertation theses. Congratulations!

Dr. Michaela Horváthová defended her PhD thesis on "Energy-Efficient Advanced Robust Control Design" supervised by Assoc. Prof. Juraj Oravec.

Dr. Martin Mojto defended his PhD thesis on "Data-driven Design of Linear Soft Sensors" supervised by Assoc. Prof. Radoslav Paulen.

We are proudly announcing that Prof. Miroslav Fikar and Assoc. Prof. Martin Klaučo have successfully applied to organize the 14th IFAC Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Process Systems, including Biosystems (DYCOPS) 2025 in Bratislava, Slovakia. The other candidate countries were Spain (Barcelona) and the Republic of South Africa (Stellenbosch).

On July 9-14, we joined the 22nd World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), Yokohama, Japan. We presented 4 research papers to a worldwide audience.

Already for the second time project managers and researchers of Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (STUBA) had an opportunity to attend seminars and practical workshops, which were organized together with the colleagues from University of Pisa (UNIPI) in the framework of the Horizon Europe project "FrontSeat".
