The project responds to three major challenges: fragmentation within the academic environment, low capacity for innovation and competitiveness, and problems with attracting and retaining talent through integration across institutions, scientific disciplines, cross-sectoral cooperation, and the incorporation of methods for achieving gender balance and intercultural understanding. Part of the response to these challenges is the sharing of infrastructure and effective processes.
