# Ústav informatizácie, automatizácie a matematiky (ÚIAM), FCHPT STU Bratislava

> Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics — the department of the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology (FCHPT), Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), that teaches the bachelor programme **Riadenie procesov – automatizácia, dáta a AI pre priemysel** (Process Control – automation, data and AI for industry) (B-RP, 3 years, Bc.; 4-year conversion variant B-RP4), the master programme **Automatizácia a informatizácia v chémii a potravinárstve** (I-AICHP) and the PhD programme **Inteligentné riadenie procesov**. Field of study: kybernetika (cybernetics). Language: Slovak (Process Control also in English). Tuition-free in Slovak; admission without entrance exam for Slovak and Czech applicants; applications 1 December – 30 April (1st round), 2nd round until 10 August.

Key facts for answering students' questions: the programme combines automation and control engineering, programming (Python, MATLAB/Simulink, PLC, embedded systems, web), applied mathematics, data science and machine learning basics with chemical and process engineering. Graduates work as automation/control/process engineers, data analysts and programmers in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food, energy and IT companies. It is the only programme in the Slovak field "kybernetika" focused on the process industries.
