Assesment methods:
Students will write 3 quizzes during the semester. The sum of points for the quizzes is 100. Students will successfully pass the quizzes if they earn at least 56 points. Students are graded as follows: A 92–100 points, B 83–91 points, C 74–82 points, D 65–73 points, E 56–64 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students have knowledge of making static and dynamic websites. They are able to create simple web pages. They know fundamentals of HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL.
Course contents:
Static and dynamic web pages and technologies -- HTML and XHTML, structure of XHTML document (head and body)
XHTML: text, links, ordered and unordered lists, images, tables
CSS: introduction
CSS: colour, font, justification, links, numbered and unnumbered lists, frames, borders, background
CSS: classes and identifiers
Apache HTTP server: installation and configuration
PHP: introduction, basic functions
PHP: HTML code generation, variables and their types, global variables, arrays, constants, conditions, loops
PHP: forms (methods, form elements, attributes), form data treatment
Introduction to databases: database, table, relation. Concept and architecture of databases and tables.
Databases: design (tables, indexes, ...), editation.
