THE CONSTRUCTION AND USE OF PELTIERS CELLS FOR COOLING AND HEATING

OLEHLOVÁ, M.; OLEHLA, J.; HEJZLAR, M.

Abstract

The possible applications of Peltier´s cells for cooling and heating are presented in this article. A laboratory experiment was set up to illustrate and measure the applications of Peltier’s cells in a cooling box and a cooling FV panel. The principle of the cells is discussed, ie, the possibility of the direct conversion of electric energy into heat and vice versa. The advantage of Peltier´s cells is the ability to focus the cooling effect in a very small surface area. This means that the equipment is realizable and it is easy to regulate the temperature by adjusting the incoming energy. The disadvantage compared to a compressor and absorbing agregates is that equivalent heating parameters are not reached, for example, the temperature change measured in the laboratory experiment did not exceed 20° C.
