MATHEMATICAL DESCRIPTION OF PUMP BEHAVIOR

DUŠEK, F.; HONC, D.

Abstract

A relationship among pump liquid flow, pressure difference and pump input power (pump static characteristic) is presented. Implicit equation based on principle of conversation of energy is given. The real behavior is achieved by hypothesis of loss flow. The initial guess of equation parameters is computed from known pump characteristics (maximum input power, maximum flow and maximum pressure). Dimensionless corrections of parameters are used to achieve real behavior.
