ROBUST CLOSED-LOOP EIGENVALUE ASSIGNMENT BY MEANS OF STATE FEEDBACK

Abstract

In the paper modified algorithms for robust eigenvalue assignment of multi-input/multi output linear discrete-time systems are presented. The design task is to modify a given state matrix in prescribed manner so that it has a given set of eigenvalues. The extra freedom is used to decrease the feedback gain matrix Frobenius norm. Some variations on the use are presented to handle some special cases. An example is given to illustrate the algorithm performance.
