OPTIMIZING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CHEMICAL REACTORS

Abstract

In this paper, the continuous-stirred tank reactor (CSTR) optimization is presented. First order irreversible exothermic reaction run in this reactor. Classical optimization method as Newton's method is used to Lagrange function optimization. Main parts of optimized criteria are reactant concentration and difference between reaction temperature and coolant temperature. Both of them have opposite influence to each other. Optimal operation conditions are calculated and presented.
